Horse Riding Programmes

We offer one and two-day riding trips from the Galga region to the Bükk Mountains. These trips provide an excellent opportunity to discover the romantic world of the northern slopes of the Mátra Hills.

The destination of our most popular day trip is Recsk and lake Búzás. This tour takes horse riders to the most appealing places of the region, including Sirok Castle. The highlight of the tour is riding around the lake and stopping for a picnic on the shore.This tour is recommended for advanced riders, but beginners can also find several attractive tours as well.

In our children's camps riding is supplemented with English classes and swimming lessons on request.

Gliding

Fly free! Pick up a backpack which contains a glide, a few minutes of preparation and you are ready to take off! In order to enjoy the experience of flying without worry we recommend a basic gliding course based on the current aeronautical regulations. You will soon become the Lord (or Lady) of the Sky, or rather a champion glider.

During the foundation course we provide you with the core material and tutorials. Flying equipment is also provided. Flying instruction takes place on the slopes of the Mátra Hill, the most suitable part of the country for beginners. You choose the time convenient for you.

Health Tourism

Two natural resources of the Mátra Hills, the Salvus Spring in Bükkszék and the "mofetta" in Mátraderecske are found in nearby villages. According to geologists, a "mofetta" is low temperature volcanic vapour containing carbon dioxide which is used in the dry bath in Mátraderecske. Bükkszék is famous for its Salvus Bath, which is rich in natural salts.
